Frog Hollow parkrun Event number 64 – 29th August 2015

This week there were 52 runners, of whom 5 were first timers and 10 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 5 different athletics clubs took part.

Thank you to our amazing volunteers! Volunteering provides enjoyment, satisfaction and allows people to give back to their community, and without volunteers, parkrun would not be possible. In order for parkrun to run, every week we will need some amazing people to volunteer. If you would like to volunteer at Frog Hollow, you can email us at

Froghollowhelpers@parkrun.com or let us know in person at Frog Hollow parkrun where we will be each Saturday morning! So that everyone can have an opportunity to run, we ask that runners volunteer just 3 times a year.

Male placings:
Matthew BATTY (SM30-34) (Unattached) was first over the line in 19:13 - third time in 20 appearances.
Craig PETTIGREW (VM40-44) (Unattached) was second over the line in 20:07 - was first to finish once before.
Adam MURPHY (SM25-29) (Unattached) was third over the line in 20:19.

Current standing in the Men's annual points competition:
Matthew BATTY (Unattached) 1186 pts.
George KOUNTOUROGIANNIS (Unattached) 1026 pts.
Craig PETTIGREW (Unattached) 959 pts.

Female placings:
Michelle ACORN (VW45-49) of TXR Runners, was first (11th overall) over the line in 24:01 - first time in 8 appearances.
Toscha STOPAR (VW45-49) of TXR Runners, was second (15th overall) over the line in 24:34 - has been first to finish on 2 previous occasions.
Michelle HARRIS (VW40-44) of TXR Runners, was third (16th overall) over the line in 25:26.

Current standing in the Women's annual points competition:
Lisa BANFIELD (Unattached) 1040 pts.
Hannah LITTLER (Unattached) 927 pts.
Sue THOMSON-NASH (Unattached) 877 pts.

The following runners recorded the best Age Grade scores:
Howard REES (VM65-69) was graded 73.77% for the time 23:23 (8th overall).
Matthew BATTY (SM30-34) was graded 68.26% for the time 19:13 (first overall).
Craig PETTIGREW (VM40-44) was graded 67.85% for the time 20:07 (second overall).

Frog Hollow parkrun started on 14th June 2014, and since then 788 different runners, including participants from 57 athletics clubs, have completed 3,639 runs covering a total distance of 18,195 km, and there have been 825 new Personal Bests.

The female record is held by Bree WARREN who ran in a time of 00:18:39 on 2015-01-31 (event number 35).
The male record is held by Andrew STEVENSON who ran in a time of 00:16:33 on 2015-07-04 (event number 56).
The Age Grade course record is held by Jaimee-Lee CODE who recorded a 86.63% run (19:12) on 22nd August 2015 (event number 63).
